What is Structural Integration, and how can it benefit me?
Structural Integration works on the fascial web (or connective tissue) that wraps everything in your body, muscles, organs and bones. Your body is always repairing and mending itself, adhesions or scar tissue form in our fascia from repetitive strain or trauma. If not treated, micro adhesions and scar tissue from injuries or surgery can mature and restrict the natural gliding between muscles, creating joint restrictions. Fascia techniques to unhook joints/bones and muscles from their network of fascia patterns gives immediate relief. When posture, flexibility and range of motion are maximised to your body type and shape, you will be in a better position to achieve your fitness goals. Functional and postural changes can be profound after one session and the improvements are permanent as client and practitioner uncovers how the restrictions were created. What was created with habits can also be uncreated, and with awareness a new habit formed. Beyond relief with local restrictions, clients have also reported results that include whole-body shifts and trauma resolution.
